Microwave cooked rice

Some of the greatest life hacks i did as a student....

Today was the first time i tried cooking rice in a microwave.. turned out to be awesome and fun. so here's how i did it, simple..

always remember 1 part of rice is to 2 parts of water (1:2)

Place washed 1 part of rice in a microwavable container/bowl and pour in 2 parts of water or more if you like your rice to be moist and softer.

Put microwave on highest power level and set it to cook in 10 minutes.

Once that is done, open up and stir and let it to cook for another 2 minutes.

Let the rice in the microwave for another 5 minutes to allow it to cook thoroughly even after the 2 minutes-after-stir is done

Now enjoy your rice.

P/s: the best part about microwave cooked rice is that it has no crust (kerak nasi) at the bottom-most layer, hence you get to eat everything without wasting anything.

Rezeki

Among the many things that we were worried about was finding a place to stay after marriage. Sbb di johor ni ssh nk dptkn rmh sewa and if ada pun yg xkenan or mahal. Ramai kwn2 yg terpaksa dok rmh parents dl. Dalam konteks kitorg ni (dua-dua bukan org johor tp kena gak menetap di sini), x kn ktorg nk tumpang kwn, or xkn nk dok hostel lg walau dh xjd student tp dh berkahwin.. Alhamdulillah pencarian rumah tu dh pun settle and we are ahead by three months.

Been looking around for quite some time, sampai kene go from house to house tanya rumah sewa. SO one day, or must I say, one lucky day, mr fiance found one, he was at the right place and at the right time, really. He was about to pay for his lunch at a restaurant when he saw makcik cashier tgh tulis notis rmh untuk disewa. Dia pun apa lagi, terus tanya n kebetulan tempat tu pun ok n grab terus peluang tu. So for now, mr fiance will move in first, till january then i'll be joining him as his permanent housemate, insyaallah.

Needless to say, my parents are happy, his parents are happy. and they are coming, to help kemas2.. so that is a chance for me too, as i get to help and see the place in person. Thing is, mr fiance was kind enough to let me decide on the furniture and everything in the house. So apa lagi, for me Ikea la..Ikea is the best solution as most of the things are affordable ( i am already eyeing on a sofa which cost only rm245 etc) yet cool and fits into an apartment that is cute in size. Thank you, love.

Anyway, i will still have to stay in my one-bedroom-attached-bathroom hostel here while making plans to decorate the house slowly. Hoping that rezeki Allah bertambah dan melimpah ruah. Syukur Allah bg kelapangan dan rezeki ni and mudahkan kerja ktorg. Insyaallah lepas ni dh boleh focus pada preparation lain2 (and not to mention, im submitting my phd this november)..multi-tasking shall we. Here we go..

Apa-apa pun. Syukur Alhamdulillah,
